salary is even less than my daily expenses. How
can i live with you? How could you even thought
of coming to me and ask me?? I can never ever
love you. Forget about me and go find someone of
your level to get engaged.”
Even after knowing the girl’s thought he still loved
her and after getting rejected boy left but couldn’t
forget her.

10 years later they stumbled into each other in a
shopping mall.
The girl recognized him and said, “Hey!! You.. how
are you?? I am married now my husband  is very smart and
do you know how much my husband’s salary is?
It's $20,000 per month. Can you beat that?
The boy's eyes got wet hearing those words from same
person. A few seconds later her husband came
around.
Before the girl could say a word seeing the guy her
husband said, “Sir, you are here! you have met
my wife.”
“This is my boss. I am one of those working for his
100 million Dollars project.” husband said looking at
his wife.
Husband continued, “He is very good person and
do you know my dear, My boss loved a girl but
he couldn’t win her heart that’s why he remained
unmarried. How lucky would that girl have been?, if
she married my boss now!
Girl got totally shocked but couldn’t say a word
after that.

Teacher Student Conversation – Life Lesson Stories

Is the title of today's Inspirational message

*NOTICE*
Questions &Answers (Q&A) with Lad Ralph Twitter edition is tomorrow Sept 09,2016. It's strictly Direct Message (DM).

“On a ship there was a pair of couple, suddenly
ship met with an accident and couple had to run
to life boat. After reaching there they realized that
there was space only for one person. At that
moment, husband pushed wife behind him and
jumped on to the lifeboat himself. His wife stood on the
sinking ship and shouted one sentence to her
husband.”
Teacher stopped and asked her students, “What
do you think  she shouted?”
Most students answered, “I hate you!!”
Now, after listening to all this reply she noticed
that there was a boy sitting silently throughout.
She asked him to answer for same.
Boy answered, “Teacher. I believe she would
have shouted – Take care of our child.”
Listening to this teacher was surprised and asked
boy, “Have you heard this story before?”
Boy shook his head in No and said, “No i haven’t
but that’s what my mother told my father before
she died because of disease.”
Teacher lamented, “Your answer is right.”
She continued, “The ship sank, Man went home
and bought up their daughter alone. Many years
later after the death of the man. Daughter was tiding
up all his belonging where she found out his
dairy. In  the dairy she found out that when her parents
where on the ship, her mother was already
diagnosed with terminal illness and at critical
moment (while ship was sinking) father rushed to
the only chance of survival.”
In his dairy the man (his fathet) wrote about how he wished he
could sink to the bottom of the ocean with his wife
but for the sake of their daughter he had to leave.
Story was finished and class was silent. Teacher
knew that students has understood the moral of
story.

Moral:

Of the Good and Evil in this world, There are
many complications behind them which are Hard
to Understand, So we should not really focus on
surface and Judge anyone without understanding
them first.

Losing everything in Anger!

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

*NOTICE*
Questions &Answers (Q&A) with lad Ralph Twitter edition is this Friday Sept, 10,2016. It's strictly Direct Message (DM).
The handle is @theladralph

I READ THIS SOMEWHERE ON THE INTERNET SOME YEARS AGO I THOUGHT IT WISE TO SHARE WITH YOU. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO AUTHORED THIS PIECE.

A couple had been married for 10 years but they
didn’t had any child. They stayed with each other
and really hoped that they will have a child before
their 11th anniversary. Their family and friends
were pursuing them to get a divorce but they
didn’t wanted to get separated because of strong
love between them.
Months passed.
One day while husband was returning home from
work, he saw his wife walking down street with a
man. They were looking very happy. After a week
again husband saw his wife with same man
again. Husband saw them many times roaming
places with each other. Hugging each other.

One evening while husband was returning home,
He saw that man dropped her off with a good bye
kiss on her cheek. Husband got angry and sad.
After a hectic day at work, Husband was home.
While he was holding a glass jug to get water,
Phone rang. He received the call. As soon as he
picked the call voice came form other side saying,
“Hello dear, I will be coming to your home this
evening to see you as i promise, I hope..”
Husband hung up call before hearing any further.
Husband thought to himself, “It was male voice
and i am sure it’s same person i have seen with
my wife many times.” He thought he had lost his
wife to another man and thinking that glass jug
fell from his hand and shattered into pieces.
Listening to noise, his wife came running to him
and asked, “Is everything okay??”
In anger he pushed his wife. She fell and wasn’t
moving. Few seconds later husband realized that
she fell on the broken jug pieces and a large piece
has pierced her. Husband tried to feel her breath,
heartbeat but there wasn’t any.
His wife was dead. He saw an envelope in her
hand. He took it and read it. He was shocked by
what was written in it.
It reads :
“My loving husband, words can’t express how i
feel so… I had to write down this letter. I have
been seeing a doctor for over a week and i
wanted to be sure before giving you the big news.
Doctor have confirmed that i am pregnant. Our
baby is due 5 months from now. Doctor i have
been seeing is my long lost brother whom i
contacted after our marriage. He promised me to
take care of me and baby and will give us best
care without any fee.
He promised to have dinner with us tonight. I had
to write to you because i am so happy. Thanks
for staying by my side.
Your loving wife.”
Letter fell from his hands. At same time he heard
knock on the door it was same man he had seen
with his wife. He came in and said, “Hello, i am
John, your wife’s brother…….” Suddenly he notice
his sister lying in pool of her blood. He rushed
her to hospital where she was confirmed dead.

Moral:

We should not be Quick to Judge Other person.
In Relationships we should Try to talk and clear
things. We should not let our Anger control us
because Not everything we see or hear is true.

THE THREE DOLLS

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

*ATTENTION*
On behalf of the team #TeamRalph I wish to personally thank everyone who participated in the Q&A on whatsApp, we say Ayekoo (Welcome) next week is the Twitter edition.

A sage presented a prince with a set of three small
dolls. The prince was not amused.
“Am I a girl that you give me dolls?” – He asked.
“This is a gift for a future king,” Said the sage. “If
you look carefully, you’ll see a hole in the ear of
each doll.”
The sage handed him a piece of string. “Pass it
through each doll.” – He said.
Intrigued, the prince picked up the first doll and put
the string into the ear. It came out from the other
ear. “This is one type of person,” said the sage,
“whatever you tell him, comes out from the other
ear. He doesn’t retain anything.”
The prince put the string into the second doll. It
came out from the mouth. “This is the second type
of person,” said the sage, “whatever you tell him,
he tells everybody else.”
The prince picked up the third doll and repeated
the process. The string did not come out. “This is
the third type of person,” said the sage, “whatever
you tell him is locked up within him. It never
comes out.”
“What is the best type of person?” – Asked the
prince.
The sage handed him a fourth doll, in answer.
When the prince put the string into the doll, it
came out from the other ear.

“Do it again.” – Said the sage.
The prince repeated the process. This time the
string came out from the mouth. When he put the
string in a third time, it did not come out at all.
“This is the best type of person,” said the sage.
“To be trustworthy, a man must know when not to
listen, when to remain silent and when to speak
out.”

HOW THE POOR LIVE!

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

NOTICE

Questions &, Answers (Q&A) with Lad Ralph on WhatsApp comes off tomorrow

9pm - 3pm

Which question to ask?

Any question goes, as far as you ask, it will be answered
The WhatsApp line will be communicated later.

One day, a father of a very wealthy family took
his son on a trip to the country with the firm
purpose of showing his son how poor people
live. They spent a couple of days and nights on
the farm of what would be considered a very
poor family. On their return from their trip, the
father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad.”
“Did you see how poor people live?” the father
asked.
“Oh yeah,” said the son.
“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?”
asked the father.
The son answered, “I saw that we have one dog
and they had four. We have a pool that reaches
to the middle of our garden, and they have a
creek that has no end. We have imported
lanterns in our garden, and they have the stars
at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard, and
they have the whole horizon. We have a small
piece of land to live on, and they have fields
that go beyond our sight. We have servants
who serve us, but they serve others. We buy
our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls
around our property to protect us; they have
friends to protect them.”
The boy’s father was speechless.
Then his son added, “Thanks, Dad, for showing
me how poor we are.”
Lessons

How much money we may
have, a person who live his life
in scarce resources happily is a true
achiever in his live.

We people like to
limit ourselves. God gave us the world to
live in, we created borders, visa, passports,
all these are limitations. THE TIME OF
PASSWORD…  will come where a
password will be required to enter a
church, and we call it advance, I call it
limitation.

Richness or poverty is on the eye of the
beholder.

We think that giving material things is what
make our children happy but all children
really want is to be free run with the
chickens and run there feet in the stream
and eat an apple off the tree and read them
a story for bed that's being rich and happy.

Material things don’t matter in life.
Family, Friends are the people that
matters in life.

A Heart Touching Story - "I Wish You Enough"

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter
in their last moments together at the airport
as the daughter’s departure had been
announced. Standing near the security gate,
they hugged and the mother said: “I love you
and I wish you enough.”
The daughter replied, “Mom, our life together
has been more than enough. Your love is all
I ever needed. I wish you enough, too,
Mom.” They kissed and the daughter left.
The mother walked over to the window where
I sat. Standing there, I could see she wanted
and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on
her privacy but she welcomed me in by
asking, “Did you ever say good-bye to
someone knowing it would be forever?” “Yes,
I have,” I replied. “Forgive me for asking but
why is this a forever good-bye?”
“I am old and she lives so far away. I have
challenges ahead and the reality is the next
trip back will be for my funeral,” she said.
When you were saying good-bye, I heard you
say, “I wish you enough.” May I ask what
that means?”
She began to smile. “That’s a wish that has
been handed down from other generations.
My parents used to say it to everyone.” She
paused a moment and looked up as if trying
to remember it in detail and she smiled even
more.
“When we said ‘I wish you enough’ we were
wanting the other person to have a life filled
with just enough good things to sustain
them”. Then turning toward me, she shared
the following, reciting it from memory,
“I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude
bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun
more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your
spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest
joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your
wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that
you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through
the final good-bye.”
She then began to cry and walked away.
Nurture Relationships…..As they say….It takes
a minute to find a special person ~ An hour
to appreciate
them ~ A day to love them ~ And then an
entire life to forget them.....

Touching Love Story 'll make you cry' Don't be shy, move forward, speak the word.

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

If you love someone, tell them, Don’t let
your heart be broken by words left
unspoken.

10th Grade:-

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the
girl next to me. She was my so called ‘best
friend’. I stared at her long, silky hair, and
wished she was mine. But she didn’t notice
me like that, and I knew it. After class, she
walked up to me and asked me for the notes
she had missed the day before. I handed
them to her.
She said ‘thanks’ and gave me a kiss on the
cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know
that I don’t want to be just friends, I love her
but I’m just too shy, and I don’t know why.

11th grade:-

The phone rang. On the other end, it was her.
She was in tears, mumbling on and on about
how her love had broke her heart. She asked
me to come over because she didn’t want to
be alone, So I did. As I sat next to her on the
sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she
was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore
movie, and three bags of chips, she decided
to go home.
She looked at me, said ‘thanks’ and gave me
a kiss on the cheek..I want to tell her, I want
her to know that I don’t want to be just
friends, I love her but I’m just too shy, and I
don’t know why.

Senior year:-

One fine day she walked to my locker. “My
date is sick” she said, ”hes not gonna go”
well, I didn’t have a date, and in 7th grade,
we made a promise that if neither of us had
dates, we would go together just as ‘best
friends’.
So we did. That night, after everything was
over, I was standing at her front door step. I
stared at her as She smiled at me and stared
at me with her crystal eyes.
Then she said- “I had the best time, thanks!”
and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to
tell her, I want her to know that I don’t want
to be just friends, I love her but I’m just too
shy, and I don’t know why.

Graduation:-

A day passed, then a week, then a month.
Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I
watched as her perfect body floated like an
angel up on stage to get her diploma. I
wanted her to be mine-but she didn’t notice
me like that, and I knew it.
Before everyone went home, she came to me
in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged
her.
Then she lifted her head from my shoulder
and said- ‘you’re my best friend, thanks’ and
gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell
her, I want her to know that I don’t want to
be just friends, I love her but I’m just too
shy, and I don’t know why.
Marriage:-

Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl
is getting married now. and drive off to her
new life, married to another man. I wanted
her to be mine, but she didn’t see me like
that, and I knew it. But before she drove
away, she came to me and said ‘you came !’.
She said ‘thanks’ and kissed me on the
cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know
that I don’t want to be just friends, I love her
but I’m just too shy, and I don’t know why.
Death:-
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a
girl who used to be my ‘best friend’.
At the service, they read a diary entry she
had wrote in her high school years.

This is what it read:

‘I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he
doesn’t notice me like that, and I know it. I
want to tell him, I want him to know that I
don’t want to be just friends,
I love him but I’m just too shy, and I don’t
know why. I wish he would tell me he loved
me !
………’I wish I did too…’
I thought to my self, and I cried.

Short Story - Love in action

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

One night a man came to our house and told
me, “There is a family with eight children. They
have not eaten for days,” I took some food and I
went. When I finally came to the family, I saw
the faces of those little children disfigured by
hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in
their faces, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave
the rice to the mother. She divided it in two, and
went out, carrying half the rice with her. When
she came back, I asked her, “Where did you
go?” She gave me this simple answer, “To my
neighbors-they are hungry also.”
I was not surprised that she gave–because
poor people are generous. But I was surprised
that she knew they were hungry. As a rule,
when we are suffering, we are so focused on
ourselves we have no time for others.

Real Story - Christmas miracle

Is the title of today's inspirational message.

This is a real Christmas miracle story, happened
in December 1997 in Wisconsin, USA.
A little girl named Sarah had leukemia and was
not expected to live to see Christmas. Her
brother and grandmother went to the mall to
ask Mark Lenonard who was a professional
Santa Claus to visit the hospital to give Sarah
the gift of hope through encouragement and
paryer.
A year later Sarah surprised Santa by showing
up at the mall where he worked. Here goes the
story.
A little boy and his grandmother came to see
Santa at The Mayfair Mall in Wisconsin. The
child climbed up on santa’s lap, holding a
picture of a little girl.
“Who is this?” – asked Santa, smiling. “Your
friend? Your sister?”
“Yes, Santa.” – he replied.
“My sister, Sarah, who is very sick.” – he said
sadly.
Santa glanced over at the grandmother who was
waiting nearby and saw her dabbing her eyes
with a tissue.
“She wanted to come with me to see you, oh,
so very much, Santa!” – the child exclaimed.
“She misses you.” – he added softly.
Santa tried to be cheerful and encouraged a
smile to the boy’s face, asking him what he
wanted Santa to bring him for Christmas.
When they finished their visit, the grandmother
came over to help the child off his lap, and
started to say something to Santa, but halted.
“What is it?” – Santa asked warmly.
“Well, I know it’s really too much to ask you,
Santa, but ..” – the old woman began, shooing
her grandson over to one of Santa’s elves to
collect the little gift which Santa gave all his
young visitors.
“The girl in the photograph… my granddaughter
well, you see … she has leukemia and isn’t
expected to make it even through the holidays.”
– she said through tear-filled eyes.
“Is there anyway, Santa, any possible way that
you could come see Sarah? That’s all she’s
asked for, for Christmas, is to see Santa.”
Santa blinked and swallowed hard and told the
woman to leave information with his elves as to
where Sarah was, and he would see what he
could do. Santa thought of little else the rest of
that afternoon. He knew what he had to do.
“What if it were MY child lying in that hospital
bed, dying?” – he thought with a sinking heart,
“This is the least I can do.”
When Santa finished visiting with all the boys
and girls that evening, he retrieved from his
helper the name of the hospital where Sarah
was staying. He asked Rick, the assistant
location manager how to get to Children’s
Hospital.
“Why?” – Rick asked, with a puzzled look on
his face.
Santa relayed to him the conversation with
Sarah’s grandmother earlier that day.
“Common….I’ll take you there.” – Rick said
softly. Rick drove them to the hospital and
came inside with Santa. They found out which
room Sarah was in. A pale Rick said he would
wait out in the hall.
Santa quietly peeked into the room through the
half-closed door and saw little Sarah on the
bed.
The room was full of what appeared to be her
family; there was the grandmother and the girl’s
brother he had met earlier that day. A woman
whom he guessed was Sarah’s mother stood
by the bed, gently pushing Sarah’s thin hair off
her forehead.
And another woman who he discovered later
was Sarah’s aunt, sat in a chair near the bed
with a weary, sad look on her face. They were
talking quietly, and Santa could sense the
warmth and closeness of the family, and their
love and concern for Sarah.
Taking a deep breath, and forcing a smile on
his face, Santa entered the room, bellowing a
hearty, “Ho, ho, ho!”
“Santa!” – shrieked little Sarah weakly, as she
tried to escape her bed to run to him.
Santa rushed to her side and gave her a warm
hug. A child the tender age of his own son — 9
years old — gazed up at him with wonder and
excitement.
Her skin was pale and her short tresses bore
telltale bald patches from the effects of
chemotherapy. But all he saw when he looked
at her was a pair of huge, blue eyes. His heart
melted, and he had to force himself to choke
back tears.
Though his eyes were riveted upon Sarah’s
face, he could hear the gasps and quiet sobbing
of the women in the room.
As he and Sarah began talking, the family crept
quietly to the bedside one by one, squeezing
Santa’s shoulder or his hand gratefully,
whispering “Thank you” as they gazed sincerely
at him with shining eyes.
Santa and Sarah talked and talked, and she told
him excitedly all the toys she wanted for
Christmas, assuring him she’d been a very
good girl that year.
As their time together dwindled, Santa felt led in
his spirit to pray for Sarah, and asked for
permission from the girl’s mother. She nodded
in agreement and the entire family circled
around Sarah’s bed, holding hands.
Santa looked intensely at Sarah and asked her if
she believed in angels, “Oh, yes, Santa… I do!”
– she exclaimed.
“Well, I’m going to ask that angels watch over
you.” – he said.
Laying one hand on the child’s head, Santa
closed his eyes and prayed. He asked that God
touch little Sarah, and heal her body from this
disease.
He asked that angels minister to her, watch and
keep her. And when he finished praying, still
with eyes closed, he started singing, softly,
“Silent Night, Holy Night…. all is calm, all is
bright…”
The family joined in, still holding hands, smiling
at Sarah, and crying tears of hope, tears of joy
for this moment, as Sarah beamed at them all.
When the song ended, Santa sat on the side of
the bed again and held Sarah’s frail, small
hands in his own.
“Now, Sarah,” – he said authoritatively, “you
have a job to do, and that is to concentrate on
getting well. I want you to have fun playing with
your friends this summer, and I expect to see
you at my house at Mayfair Mall this time next
year!”
He knew it was risky proclaiming that to this
little girl who had terminal cancer, but he ‘had’
to. He had to give her the greatest gift he could
— not dolls or games or toys — but the gift of
HOPE.
“Yes, Santa!” – Sarah exclaimed, her eyes
bright. He leaned down and kissed her on the
forehead and left the room.
Out in the hall, the minute Santa’s eyes met
Rick’s, a look passed between them and they
wept unashamed.
Sarah’s mother and grandmother slipped out of
the room quickly and rushed to Santa’s side to
thank him.
“My only child is the same age as Sarah.” – he
explained quietly. “This is the least I could do.”
They nodded with understanding and hugged
him.
One year later, Santa Mark was again back on
the set in Milwaukee for his six-week, seasonal
job which he so loves to do. Several weeks
went by and then one day a child came up to
sit on his lap.
“Hi, Santa! Remember me?!”
“Of course, I do.” – Santa proclaimed (as he
always does), smiling down at her. After all, the
secret to being a ‘good’ Santa is to always
make each child feel as if they are the ‘only’
child in the world at that moment.
“You came to see me in the hospital last year!”
Santa’s jaw dropped. Tears immediately sprang
in his eyes, and he grabbed this little miracle
and held her to his chest.
“Sarah!” – he exclaimed. He scarcely
recognized her, for her hair was long and silky
and her cheeks were rosy — much different from
the little girl he had visited just a year before.
He looked over and saw Sarah’s mother and
grandmother in the sidelines smiling and waving
and wiping their eyes.
That was the best Christmas ever for Santa
Claus.
He had witnessed –and been blessed to be
instrumental in bringing about — this miracle of
hope. This precious little child was healed.
Cancer-free. Alive and well. He silently looked
up to Heaven and humbly whispered, “Thank
you, Father. ‘This a very, Merry Christmas!”

True story - The miracle of $1.11

Is the title of today's Inspirational message

Tess was a precocious eight year old when she
heard her Mom and Dad talking about her little
brother, Andrew. All she knew was that he was
very sick and they were completely out of
money. They were moving to an apartment
complex next month because Daddy didn’t have
the money for the doctor bills and our house.
Only a very costly surgery could save him now
and it was looking like there was no-one to loan
them the money. She heard Daddy say to her
tearful Mother with whispered desperation, “Only
a miracle can save him now.”
Tess went to her bedroom and pulled a glass
jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet. She
poured all the change out on the floor and
counted it carefully. Three times, even. The total
had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for
mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the
jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the
back door and made her way 6 blocks to
Rexall’s Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief
sign above the door. She waited patiently for
the pharmacist to give her some attention but
he was too busy at this moment. Tess twisted
her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She
cleared her throat with the most disgusting
sound she could muster. No good.
Finally she took a quarter from her jar and
banged it on the glass counter. That did it!
“And what do you want?” the pharmacist asked
in an annoyed tone of voice. “I’m talking to my
brother from Chicago whom I haven’t seen in
ages,” he said without waiting for a reply to his
question.
“Well, I want to talk to you about my brother,”
Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone.
“He’s really, really sick… and I want to buy a
miracle.”
“I beg your pardon?” said the pharmacist.
“His name is Andrew and he has something bad
growing inside his head and my Daddy says
only a miracle can save him now. So how much
does a miracle cost?”
“We don’t sell miracles here, little girl. I’m
sorry but I can’t help you,” the pharmacist said,
softening a little. “Listen, I have the money to
pay for it. If it isn’t enough, I will get the rest.
Just tell me how much it costs.”
The pharmacist’s brother was a well dressed
man. He stooped down and asked the little girl,
“What kind of a miracle does you brother need?”
“I don’t know,” Tess replied with her eyes
welling up. “I just know he’s really sick and
Mommy says he needs an operation. But my
Daddy can’t pay for it, so I want to use my
money.”
“How much do you have?” asked the man from
Chicago. “One dollar and eleven cents,” Tess
answered barely audibly. “And it’s all the
money I have, but I can get some more if I
need to.
“Well, what a coincidence,” smiled the man. “A
dollar and eleven cents – the exact price of a
miracle for little brothers.” He took her money
in one hand and with the other hand he grasped
her mitten and said, “Take me to where you
live. I want to see your brother and meet your
parents. Let’s see if I have the kind of miracle
you need.”
That well dressed man was Dr. Carlton
Armstrong, a surgeon, specialising in neuro-
surgery. The operation was completed without
charge and it wasn’t long until Andrew was
home again and doing well. Mom and Dad were
happily talking about the chain of events that
had led them to this place.
“That surgery,” her Mom whispered. “was a real
miracle. I wonder how much it would have
cost?”
Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a
miracle cost… one dollar and eleven cents …
plus the faith of a little child.
Such a funny but inspirational story, Tess was determined to see her sick brother Andrew  healthy, so she took a bold decision. Some circumstances may prevent you from achieving your aim but hey! Always remember Tess, she was determined to buy miracle which is not in the human market.

True Love Story - True Value

Is the title of today's Inspirational message.

One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love.
But the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s
parents weren’t too happy.
So the young man decided not only to court the
girl but to court her parents as well. In time, the
parents saw that he was a good man and was
worthy of their daughter’s hand.
But there was another problem: The man was a
soldier. Soon, war broke out and he was being
sent overseas for a year. The week before he left,
the man knelt on his knee and asked his lady love,
“Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes,
and they were engaged. They agreed that when he
got back in one year, they would get married.
But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl
had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on
collision.
When she woke up in the hospital, she saw her
father and mother crying. Immediately, she knew
there was something wrong.
She later found out that she suffered brain injury.
The part of her brain that controlled her face
muscles was damaged. Her once lovely face was
now disfigured. She cried as she saw herself in the
mirror. “Yesterday, I was beautiful. Today, I’m a
monster.” Her body was also covered with so
many ugly wounds.
Right there and then, she decided to release her
fiancĂ© from their promise. She knew he wouldn’t
want her anymore. She would forget about him
and never see him again.
For one year, the soldier wrote many letters—but
she wouldn’t answer. He phoned her many times
but she wouldn’t return her calls.
But after one year, the mother walked into her
room and announced, “He’s back from the war.”
The girl shouted, “No! Please don’t tell him about
me. Don’t tell him I’m here!”
The mother said, “He’s getting married,” and
handed her a wedding invitation.
The girl’s heart sank. She knew she still loved him
—but she had to forget him now.
With great sadness, she opened the wedding
invitation.
And then she saw her name on it!
Confused, she asked, “What is this?”
That was when the young man entered her room
with a bouquet of flowers. He knelt beside her and
asked, “Will you marry me?”
The girl covered her face with her hands and said,
“I’m ugly!”
The man said, “Without your permission, your
mother sent me your photos. When I saw your
photos, I realized that nothing has changed.
You’re still the person I fell in love. You’re still as
beautiful as ever. Because I love you!”
